Coinbase Global, Inc., also known as Coinbase, is an American business that runs a bitcoin trading platform. Coinbase is a remote-first company with no formal physical headquarters. Brian Armstrong and Fred Ehrsam started the firm in 2012, and as of March 2021, it was the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the United States by trading volume.
Coinbase went public on the Nasdaq market via direct listing on April 14, 2021.
