Cryptocurrency enthusiasts: you likely know AMC Theatres has announced we will accept Bitcoin for online ticket and concession payments by year-end 2021. I can confirm today that when we do so, we also expect that we similarly will accept Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash.
By the end of 2021, AMC Entertainment will not only accept Bitcoin (BTC) payments. As well as the prominent digital currencies mentioned above, it will also include additional popular digital currencies.
People were thrilled to pay using bitcoin, according to Aron. To be more specific, he added that they were anxious to use cryptocurrency to purchase movie tickets and refreshments at AMC theaters across the country in the near future.
In addition, Aron said that the company is trying to finalize the essential mechanisms for receiving crypto payments. Aron’s tweet also garnered a lot of attention from the crypto community, with many people commenting on it.
A user on Twitter asked Aron about Dogecoin in a tweet (DOGE). On the contrary, the account inquired why they chose Litecoin instead of Dogecoin, the renowned memecoin. Aron didn’t respond to our questions on this subject.
